Guided by facilitator Saba of @gabbeh_studio, you'll create one of a kind prints using a gelli plate. Experiment with layered designs and unique colours, and leave with your own prints—no experience needed. Tickets are priced at $35 for Guelph Tool Library Members, $45 for non-members, and $55 benefactor tickets help support individuals facing financial barriers. Stitch Together

Grab something from your mending pile and join us for the Stitch Together Community Mending Project, a drop-in, DIY mending program offered through the Guelph Tool Library.
Visitors can bring their clothing and textiles that need mending and work with volunteers that will teach them how - we’ll provide the sewing machines, stitching supplies, and friendly mending support. In addition to mending, our volunteers are happy to provide support for folks new to sewing that are looking to improve their skills and confidence.
All ages and skill levels are welcome.Â
Come stitch together and repair your loved clothing, learn new skills, and keep textile waste out of our landfill. Remember: mending is the new spending!
Stitch Together sessions take place twice per month (generally on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, unless impacted by a holiday) at the Guelph Tool Library – upcoming dates can always be found on the Guelph Tool Library calendar.
No registration is required for these drop-in events, and supplies will be available for use, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. Stitch Together is a volunteer-run initiative, and there is no cost to participate, but donations are welcome! See more details

Sewing Machine Cleaning
Sewing Machine Cleaning June 22, 2026 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Learn how to clean and maintain your sewing machine with one of our Stitch Mentors volunteers. In this class, you will learn the basics of taking your machine apart to clean and oil it, with some basic diagnostics and troubleshooting. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine for this class. Tickets are $15 for Guelph Tool Library members, and $20 for non members. $30 benefactor tickets help provide free or discounted registration for someone facing financial barriers, and include a ticket for you! If you are facing financial barriers and require a discounted ticket, please reach out to the GTL via communications@guelphtoollibrary.org. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Due to space limitations, a ticket is valid for one person and one machine only. This class will not focus on repair of broken or seized machines, as that is best handled by a professional. The Guelph Tool Library cannot be held liable for the condition of your sewing machine and any potential damages it may incur during this class. See more details
